is an initiative of the Innovation group about IP networking
within Telecom Italia.
Under this name you can find some Telecom Italia initiatives on
innovative network services, and trial opportunities offered to its business and
residential users.

currently ngnet.it proposes an initiave based on
IPv6, the next generation Internet Protocol.
IPv6 has been developed by the IETF (Internet Enginnering Task Force) as a replacement
of the current version of IP, IPv4, to overcome its limitations
and guarantee the future sustainability of the present growth rate of the
Internet.
You can browse these pages both with IPv4 and IPv6. They are intended to become
a reference for anybody who wants to know the new protocol, understand its
role and impact within networks and services and try it in practice,
even throughout their own Internet connection.
